The
Institute of Science and Technology introduced a
natural science perspective into social science
studies, creating a new direction for the university's
education and research. This institute also focuses
on developing interdisciplinary research.

We currently
conduct active research and investigative operations through
seven sectional meetings where subjects include environmental
issues, information telecommunications, business administration,
QOL (medical services and health), agriculture and food,
resources and energy, and materials.
We have signed academic exchange agreements with the Institute
of Science and Technology attached to Yanbian University
(China), the Telecommunications Institute of Pohang University
of Science and Technology (South Korea) and the Pacific
Geographical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences'
Far East Branch. By promoting international collaborative
research, we are actively responding to the need for internationalization.
Papers based on these international collaborative research
results, and research papers by domestic and foreign researchers,
have been published in the Bulletin of the Institute of
Science and Technology. We will also sponsor academic
exchange lectures and regular research meetings addressing
unorthodox issues. |
