Curriculums for Faculty of Economics
In the 2004 curriculum, three phases will be established: introductory, basic and advanced. These phases enable students to pursue their study objectives systematically in step with their progress. In addition, three courses allow students to study specialized fields matching their future objectives. We will respond to the diverse needs of society by training students to become successful in their chosen fields, whether this is as businessmen, executives and entrepreneurs, or by encouraging them to obtain licenses for a range of professions, or as policy makers/executors in the public sector, teachers and researchers.

Curriculum's Special Features
Cooperation with Extension Center
In accordance with the individual student's learning objectives and future plans, each course can be integrated with Extension Center's S course (special lectures) and license classes as a way of effective learning.

Introduction of a three-phase system
In order to improve learning efficiency, we have established a systematic educational program with three learning phases: introductory, basic and advanced. This program allows students to study efficiently in step with their learning progress.

Three courses established that address a range of future career
By adopting a course system that helps students to clarify their objectives such as future professions and licenses, we are able to provide systematic, efficient learning opportunities.

"Special Seminars" to learn advanced subjects
in a small class setting

For those who plan to enter graduate schools or become public servants, special seminars have been established that facilitate more advanced research. These take place in a small class setting.

Improvements to introductory courses for freshmen
The first year introductory courses have been reviewed and improved to help students quickly make the transition from high school-style studying methods to university-level education at Faculty of Economics.
Students first learn "Fundamental Economics" as an introductory subject to help them come to grips with the basic concepts of economics. Since this lecture is conducted in a class of about 40 students, each student will receive sufficient individual support in learning the subject.

"Full-seminar system" that builds character over four years
In order to achieve the goal of building character in addition to providing opportunities for intellectual training and creativity, instructions tailored to the needs of the individual are given to students as they progress through their courses from freshmen to seniors.
